Simple, delicious and healthy green bean stir fry is perfect with rice. By adding more red chillies, will make this dish more spicy. Addition of coconut makes this simple dish exquisite.
Ingredients :
- Green beans - 200 gms
- Water - 1/2 cup
- Oil - 2 tsp
- Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
- Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
- Urad dal - 1 tsp
- Red chillies - 3 nos
- Curry leaves
- Onion, finely chopped - 1 no
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Grated coconut - 2 tsp
1. Boil 1/2 cup water in the pan. Add chopped green beans and salt to taste. Cook until done. Keep aside.
2. Heat oil in the pan, add urad dal, mustard seeds, cumin seeds, red chillies, curry leaves and finely chopped onion. Saute till tender.
3. Add curry leaves, turmeric powder and salt to taste.
4. Add cooked green beans and saute.
5. Finally, add grated coconut and switch off the flame.
Serve with rice.
