Chettinad Fish Fry - Super Delicious !!


Chettinad Fish Fry Recipe
 is a delicious and spicy preparation of fish made in the Chettinad region of South India. You can use any type of firm fleshed fish to make this recipe.  You can serve this with steamed rice or as starter. 


Ingredients :

  1. Fish slices (Cleaned) - 10 nos
  2. Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  3. Chilly powder - 1 tsp
  4. Rice flour - 1 tbsp
  5. Salt to taste
  6. Tamarind paste - 1/4 tsp
  7. Chopped coriander leaves
  8. Cooking oil

1.  Clean the fish slices.

2.  Add and mix turmeric powder, chilly powder, rice flour, salt, tamarind paste & chopped coriander leaves with little water (if required) to the fish slices.  

3.  Marinate the fish for at least a hour.

4.  Heat griddle or pan over the medium heat, add the marinated fish slices & fry them either sides.  Drizzle some oil around.

5.  Continue to fry till the fish gets cooked and crisp. The fish will appear flaky when it’s cooked.
