Pressure cook the Moong :
- 2 cup sprouted green moong
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- Salt to taste
- Water - 5 cups
Pressure cook them for 1 whistles
For Masala paste :
Ingredients :
- 2 tsp oil
- Ginger
- Onion - 1 no, finely chopped
- Garlic - 2 pods
- Salt to taste
- Dry coconut - 1tbsp
- Tomato - 1 no, finely chopped
Cook them together & grind to smooth paste.
Misal preparation :
Ingredients :
- Oil - 2 tsp
- Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
- Red chilly powder - 1 tsp
- Coriander powder - 1 tsp
- Garam masala - 1 tbsp
- Salt to taste
Method :
Heat oil in the pan.
Add cumin seeds & grounded masala paste.
Add turmeric powder, red chilly powder, coriander powder, garam masala & salt to taste. Cook.
Add pressure cooked green moong. Cover & cook for 10 mins over medium heat.
Misal is ready.
Serving :
Ingredients :
- Mixture / Farsan
- Onion, finely chopped
- Coriander leaves, finely chopped
- Pav bread
- Lemon slices
Method :
Spread some onion, coriander leaves, mixture over Misal.
Serve with pav bread & lemon slices.
