Ingredients :
- Baby corn - 12 nos
- Gram flour - 1/4 cup
- Rice flour - 1/4 cup
- Red chilly flakes - 1/2 tsp
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
- Ginger garlic paste - 1/2 tsp
- Chilly powder - 1 tsp
- Cumin powder - 1/2 tsp
- Juice from 1/2 lemon
- Coriander leaves, chopped
- Water - 1/2 cup
- Salt to taste
- Oil for frying
- Flour
- Green chillies for garnishing (optional)
Method :
In Tamil
1. Clean & cut the baby corns in half, length wise.
2. Cook the baby corns in the salted boiling water for few mins. Drain & spread the baby corns over the kitchen paper.
3. In a separate bowl, mix together gram flour, rice flour, red chilly flakes, turmeric powder, ginger garlic paste, chilly powder, cumin powder, lemon juice, coriander leaves, salt & water. The mixture should resemble like dosa batter.
4. Sprinkle some flour over the baby corns. Now dip the baby corns in the batter prepared.
5. Heat oil in the frying pan & deep fry the baby corns till crispy & golden brown.
6. Also fry the slit green chillies & garnish it over the fried baby corns.
Serve warm.
